Privacy.

The short version

There are no analytics on this website. No tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no third‑party scripts watching you read. Notes you take in EditNote Pro stay in your own browser and are never sent to us. The only personal information we hold is what you deliberately hand over: an email address, a message through the contact form, or a purchase.

Who we are

This site and EditNote Pro are provided by Premium Title Media (“we”, “us”), which is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at BenScrivenFilms@gmail.com.

What we collect, and why

Your notes — nothing at all

Notes, timecodes and settings you create in EditNote Pro are held in your own browser on your own device. They are never transmitted to us. We cannot read them, recover them or produce them if asked. Saving, copying and emailing your notes are carried out by your own device and your own applications. If you clear your browser data, they are gone, and we have no copy.

Your trial usage — also nothing

EditNote Pro counts how long you have run the timecode so it knows when the free period ends. That figure is stored in your browser and never sent anywhere.

Your email address — only if you offer it

After two hours of use, EditNote Pro asks for an email address so you can carry on using it free of charge. If you give one, it is sent to our forms provider and we use it to tell you about EditNote Pro. Our lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

The contact form

If you write to us through the contact page we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use these to reply to you and to take any steps you have asked for. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.

Buying EditNote Pro

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and is the seller for your order. They collect your name, email address, billing country and payment details, and they handle the tax. We never see or hold your full card details. We receive a record of the order so we can support you and meet our accounting obligations. Lemon Squeezy processes your information under its own privacy policy.

Your licence key

When you unlock EditNote Pro, the app sends your licence key and an identifier for that installation to Lemon Squeezy to check the key is genuine, and repeats that check periodically. No notes, audio or personal information are included in that request.

Dictation — please read this one

Speech is transcribed by your web browser, not by us. Some browsers, Google Chrome among them, send the audio to their own servers to do it, under their own privacy terms. We never receive your audio and have no control over what a browser does with it. If you are working on confidential material, satisfy yourself how your particular browser and device handle dictation before relying on it, or work with dictation switched off. The app itself makes no connection to any picture, sound or media you are reviewing.

Hosting records

The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps ordinary server logs including IP addresses in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Cookies and local storage

We set no tracking or advertising cookies. EditNote Pro uses your browser’s local storage to remember your settings and your place in the free period. That data stays on your device, is not readable by us, and is not shared with anyone.

Who your information is shared with

Only the providers we need to run the service: Netlify for hosting and form handling, and Lemon Squeezy for payments and licensing. Both act on our instructions under their own terms. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for profiling or automated decision‑making.

Where your information goes

Netlify and Lemon Squeezy are based in the United States, so your information may be transferred outside the UK. Those transfers rely on the safeguards each provider has in place, such as standard contractual clauses and applicable data protection frameworks.

How long we keep it

Email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them. Contact form messages are kept while they are useful for the enquiry and our records. Purchase and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires, which in the UK is generally six years.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where our basis is consent. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you gave us the chance to put it right first.

Children

This site and EditNote Pro are made for working film and television professionals. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects you we will say so more prominently.
